How we work
We prepare the canvas by stretching it onto a wooden frame and we coat it with a white base primer. The artist copies from a photograph of your automobile, he sketches out the outline which he draws by free hand using a pencil onto the canvas. Next is the background and the oil painting begins, using the best quality paints from Winsor & Newton. When the background is done he puts the base colors of the automobile down, then more of the detail such as shadows and gradually he builds up the detail until he gets to the lightest areas such as whites and sun light reflections. The painting takes a few days to dry and harden, then it’s covered with a special protective wax and its ready for shipping. A complete hand made process, a work of automotive art
